WHAT'S NYEPI DAY

Nyepi day by Hindus in Bali is celebrated as the day of the new year Çaka. This feast day according to the Hindu calendar falls on one (penanggal linings) sasih X (kedasa) or rather the day after tilem to IX (Kesanga). There are several series of exercising this Nyepi, namely:

Melasti

Tawur Kesanga fall day before the Nyepi day ie on tilem Kesanga. At tawur ceremony was conducted in the form of offerings to the bhuta caru. This Caru dipesembahkan that the bhuta not lose its properties on the implementation of Nyepi day. It also aims to eliminate the evil elements of the human beings that do not follow the man in the next year. Tawur kesanga ceremony is often also referred to the ceremony and also classified pecaruan yadnya bhuta ceremony. Nyepi Day

Nyepi Day is celebrated by people by way Bratha Penyepian Chess. Chess Bratha penyepian consists of four kinds of restrictions are: observe geni (not light the fire), observe the work (not working), observe lelungan (not working) and observe lelanguan (do not do entertainment activities). All restrictions in done to curb the passions and evil desires so as to achieve a peace or inner peace. Ngembak Geni

The day after Nyepi day, all activity back on track. The day began with worship and prayer climbing to Hyang Widhi for good in the new year. In today's Ngembak geni bersilatuahmi should race each other and forgive one another.

Nyepi Day is basically a day of restraint of lust and self introspection over all that was done in the past. Implementation of Nyepi Day must be based on the strong intention, sincere and honest with no particular ambition. Restraint of the passions to achieve inner freedom is a bond but the bond was done with full sincerity.
